![]() When adding a printer that is one of the affected models, you may get a message that either says "Unable to verify the printer on your network" or "Couldn't detect a printer. Please enter printer address again." depending on whether you are adding the printer to a Mac or a Chrome device. To solve this issue, follow the normal printer installation steps but be sure to change the protocol from "Internet Printing Protocol - IPP" to "HP Jetdirect - Socket" or "Line Printer Daemon - LPD" as shown below.
